Arsene Wenger has a transfer war chest of £100m, the highest he has ever had since joining Arsenal.

The club has been linked to a host of players which includes more of strikers as it seems to be the department that needs to be strengthened. We now look at the latest from the camps of some these players linked.

Serge Aurier

Toulose defender has never stopped to talk about his love for Arsenal and fuelled speculations of a move to Arsenal when he revealed he would never refuse a move to Arsenal. With Bacary Sagna reported to have agreed a deal with rivals Manchester City, Arsene Wenger would now look to the Ivorian defender to fill up that position.

Serge Aurier is a fine defender who is also very dreadful when he goes forward evident in his assists and goals for Toulouse. He has been very much linked to the club and the only player tipped to replace Bacary Sagna.

Carlos Vela

A former Gunner sold to Real Sociedad after finding it difficult at Arsenal, Carlos Vela could very much be on his way back, this time a different and better player. Sold to Sociedad for £3 million, Arsenal can activate his buy-out clause of around £4 million which was actually set by the Gunners.

In a recent chat, Carlos Vela revealed the clause was real and it would be ‘stupid’ for Arsenal not to take advantage of that. Clearly, the Mexican would like to play again for Arsenal and he has promised he would do that differently and as a better player.

Mario Mandzudic

Bayern Munich striker, Mario Mandzudic is another player tipped to move to Arsenal next season. The German club have made it more difficult for Mandzudic after agreeing a deal to sign Robert Lewandoski from Borussia Dortmund.

The fight for Mario Mandzudic would be tougher has he also been courted by other top clubs in Europe.
